I would like to invite you to my doctoral recital in composition, entitled From Different Islands. The recital program is composed of new music and dance for Asian and Western instruments that explore fusions and break boundaries (the good kine!).

I curated the program and crafted the works as an homage to my dear collaborators who made my artistic life in Hawaiʻi so meaningful and rich since arriving here in 2022. All the pieces in this recital are written for and with them, and many I dedicate to friends and those who became a part of my ‘ohana here in Hawai‘i. Because of these relationships, the music and the movement that you will witness are all informed by various island and archipelagic cultures across Asia and the Pacific.
